on january 2013, european union commission notified wto secretariat g/tbt/n/eu/83 to amends the limit values for barium in toys,ensuring alignment of the latest scientific
evidence and increase children's safety. the new limits are showed as the following:
category 1, in dry, brittle, powerlike or pliable toy material: 1500mg/kg;
category 2, in liquid or sticky toy material: 375mg/kg;
category 3, in scrapped-off toy material: 18750mg/kg.
