gb 28007-2011 “children’s furniture — general technical requirements” is to protect children from potential hazardous elements in relevant furniture, enactment date of which is aug. 1, 2012.
“children’s furniture — general technical requirements” is applied to furniture designed or intended to be used by children aged from 3 to 14. it stipulates terminology and definition of children’s furniture, general requirements, safety requirements, warning labeling, test method, inspection rules and requirements on information label, manual, package, transportation and storage.
this standard stipulates safety requirements to materials that may be used in children’s furniture, including wood, metal, plastic, textile and leather.
