as of 1 january 2012, the use of bisphenol a (bpa) in pacifiers and teethers prohibited in austria. this prohibition was published in an amendment to the federal food safety and consumer protection act (lebensmittelsicherheits-und verbraucherschutz, lmsvg). this may impact harder on some hong kong and chinese mainland exporters. therefore, china manufacturers of baby products should follow this closely.
