on 19 december 2012, echa published the 8th batch svhcs with 54 kinds. so far, there are total 138 kinds of substances in the candidate list.
member states committee unanimously agreed on the identification of 23 substances, in which 3 are regarded as strong respiratory sensitisers (the 41th, 44th and 45th items in the following table) firstly and are giving rise to an equivalent level of concern to cmrs.
producers and importers of articles containing any of the 54 svhcs in the new candidate list have six months from 19 december 2012 to notify echa by 19 june 2013, if they meet both of the following conditions: (1) the substance is present in those articles in quantities totaling over one tone per producer or importer per year and (2) the substance is present in those articles above a concentration of 0.1% weight by weight.
