on november 29th 2011, the mandatory test requirement of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (pahs) under gs mark was amended by adding new requirements on 2 additional pah substances. as a result, these two newly adding pahs are to be tested in the coming days for appiying the gs mark.
the two newly-adding substances are benzo[j]fluoranthene and benzo[e]pyrene, and this brings the total number of regulated pah to 18.
for any gs mark certificate issued after july 1st 2012, it is mandatory to meet requirements under zek 01.4-08.
however, some exemptions of this practice are described in zek 01.4-08.
