eu, usa, canada and australia have established rapid alert systems to facilitate the rapid exchange of information and measures taken to prevent or restrict the marketing or use of products posing a serious risk to the health and safety of consumers. notification in 2020 report 07 on textile & leather products is presented in the following table.
there were total 6 notifications in august with 1 notifications from china. notifications of products mainly involve children's jacket with strangulations, pillow for kids, girl leggings with choking hazard , cotton jersey nightie with flammability hazard, children's raincoat excessive phthalate.
