eu, usa and canada have established rapid alert systems to facilitate the rapid exchange of information andmeasures taken to prevent or restrict the marketing or use of products posing a serious risk to the health and safetyof consumers. notification in 2018 report 12 on textile & leather products from china is presented in the followingtable. there were total 45 notifications in december with 13 notifications from china. notifications of products fromchina mainly involve children’s clothing sets and children’s sweatshirts with strangulation risk, children's shoes andchildren's clothing posing a choking hazard to infants and young children, and jeans containing excessive azodyes.
