eu, usa and canada have established rapid alert systems to facilitate the rapid exchange of information andmeasures taken to prevent or restrict the marketing or use of products posing a serious risk to the health and safetyof consumers. notification in 2018 report 10 on textile & leather products from china is presented in the followingtable. there were total 25 notifications in october with 19 notifications from china. notifications of products fromchina mainly involve children’s jackets and girls’ bikinis with strangulation risk, girl’s dress and girls’ clothing set withinjury risk, leather shoes and women’s leather gloves containing excessive cr (vi), and leather bags containingexcessive nickel release.
